Flexible and Part-Time Working Policy
This policy and procedure provides a framework for managing flexible working.
Employers should have a policy and procedures to help employees understand who has a legal right to request flexible working (and who doesn't), how a request for flexible working will be investigated, what information employees should provide to support their application and how an employee can appeal against a decision to refuse flexible working.
This document also provides information for employees who wish to work part time (for example women returning from maternity leave), and how their pay and benefits will be affected.
The policy allows for flexible and part time working to be offered initially on a trial basis.
