Flexible working appeal counter-offer letter

£ 25 ex. VAT

If an employee has appealed a previous flexible working proposal, an employer is entitled to propose alternative arrangements to accommodate an employee to work flexible hours (commonly known as a counter-offer or offering compromise arrangements).

If part of their appeal is acceptable, an employer may propose alternative flexible working practices.

This letter explains the proposal to the employee and explains their rights to accept or reject the proposal.

The letter helps employers clearly explain the effect of the proposed changes on the employee's entitlements such as their pay and benefits (should they accept the compromise).
