Providing References for Employees

£ 25 ex. VAT

Our work reference declaration form records an employee’s consent for you as their employer to retain work reference details and provide any future employer requesting a work reference with details about their employment with you.

Information gathered in the work reference declaration form, and an employee's signature on the form, helps ensure you are legally allowed to release personal reference data to future employers.

An employee's signature on the work reference declaration form also confirms their consent and agreement to the fact that by providing prospective employers with a work reference,  they accept that:

  • you will record, store and release such information to future employers
  • such information will be provided to prospective employers in the strictest confidence with no liability or legal responsibility on you, your staff or the reference recipient
  • by signing and agreeing the work reference declaration form you will be complying with the Data Protection Act

Our work reference response letter provides a framework with which to reply to work reference requests and ensures you only provide information an employee has agreed will be released to prospective employers (e.g. employment details and reason for leaving).
