Disciplinary Documents
The disciplinary process includes:
- Informal disciplinary action
- Formal disciplinary action (formal written warnings - first written or final written warning)
- Disciplinary dismissal (after warnings or due to gross misconduct)
- Disciplinary appeals
It is essential that all actions, decisions, formal warnings and dismissals comply with Discipline and Dismissal Arrangements 2009 in order for an employer to avoid employment tribunals. Accurate records of all disciplinary warnings are essential - without appropriate documentation, employment tribunals could awards substantial penalties.
