Dismissal After Warnings

Two letters for handling common types of discipline dismissal which has resulted after previous warnings haveen been given.

Occasionally a situation may arise whereby the disciplinary process has been exhausted and you have no other option but to formally dismiss an employee from your employment.

The two dismissal letters included in this pack are:

  • Letter 1 : performance dismissal
  • Letter 2 : conduct and behaviour dismissal

In line with the 2009 Discipline and Dismissal Arrangements thesse standard letters ensures managers:

  • confirm the formal disciplinary decision reached
  • outline the reasons for and nature of unsatisfactory performance, conduct or behaviour
  • confirm previous discipline action and decisions
  • summarise contractual entitlements and obligations
  • give notice of employment termination
  • advise the right of appeal
