Occasionally disciplinary appeal panels can overturn disciplinary decisions altogether, resulting in no disciplinary action being held against an employee.
This letter communicates the decision of a disciplinary appeal to cancel the original disciplinary hearing verdict.
In line with the 2009 Discipline, Discipline Appeal and Dismissal Arrangements this letter can be used to clearly inform an employee of your formal appeal decision and ensures managers:
- confirm the formal disciplinary appeal hearing details
- convey the formal disciplinary appeal decision reached
- outline reasons for the discipline appeal decision being taken
- inform the employee that no formal disciplinary penalty that will now apply
- confirm the deletion of any formal written warning from record
- outline the next course of action
- advise the formal appeal decision is final
