£ 25 ex. VAT

Many disciplinary appeal panels decide that an original disciplinary decision is justifiable.

This standard letter provides managers with a quick and easy way to communicate a disciplinary appeal decision to uphold the original disciplinary hearing verdict.

In line with the 2009 Discipline, Discipline Appeal and Dismissal Arrangements this letter can be used to clearly inform an employee of your formal appeal decision and ensures managers:

  • confirm the formal disciplinary appeal hearing details
  • convey the formal disciplinary appeal decision reached
  • outline reasons for the discipline appeal decision being taken
  • inform the employee that the formal disciplinary warning will remain current
  • summarise improvements required, company expectations and timeframe for improvement
  • offer help or assistance to aid improvement
  • specify training an employee needs to complete
  • confirm the duration of the original formal written warning
  • outline the next course of formal disciplinary action should things not improve
  • advise the formal appeal decision is final
